Hi, Im a fan of the Bradt Travel Guides. Presently, I live in Tanzania and when visiting Moshi/Arusha recently we decided to stay at Dikdik in Usa river. We´ve stayed there before (long ago) and been very happy. Their cuisine used to be very, very good. However, times are changing and so has Dikdik. The atmosphere was not very good. The drainage in the shower was blocked and we had no hot water. The former so very good food was no more. Drinks were expensive. Generally the place looks a bit run down and the atmosphere was not very good. A lot of finger pointing signs and negative information – you must, you are not allowed, we take no responsibility, you have to pay…. The hotel is now part of an investment company and maybe that´s the reason. Big disappointment!
