Self-drive safaris in Tanzania

We are a couple from the UK, who have now moved to Tanzania and set up a self-drive safari business, a relatively new concept in Tanzania. We are based on the boundary of Arusha National Park and run a small lodge/homestay and self-drive safari business. Our passion is to give our guests the freedom and excitement of doing thier own safaris and get off the beaten track and away from the our tourists. Our vehicles are 110 Landrover defenders (expedition prepared in the Uk and shipped to Tanzania) and are fully kitted out with all the camping equipment you would need, including a fridge/freezer, 240 volt invertor for charging cameras, phones etc, shower and food starter box to list a few items.

We can assist clients in devising their own, unique itineraries and they can choose to camp only, stay in lodge accommodation only, or a combination of the two. As you know, in Tanzania we have special and public campsites and we can book all the special campsites in advance if required.

Our vehicles are fully comprehensively insured and can enter any of the EA countries with a Comesa insurance, which we would arrange in advance.

Please take a look at our website, to view the vehicles and lodge and see what we have to offer.

With Best Wishes

Erika and Paul

We used the services of Wilson Bagira of Distinctive Journeys. They selected the accomodations, arranged our safaricar, entrance tickets for the National Parks and did the tour with us. They brought us in contact with the local life too, by taking us to a local restaurant nd a local bar. Very good and reliable services i would recommend them. There website:
